John L. Unger

John Unger is an experienced business attorney who has worked with all sizes and types of businesses In a variety of industries for over 25 years. During his professional career he has worked in both private practice and in-house, serving as a partner at one of Tennessee's leading corporate firms and as General Counsel at companies in the health care, real estate and financial services industries. These companies include a venture-backed entrepreneurial start-up, an industry-leading family business and a $16 billion publicly-traded company. He brings to his practice a knowledge of and appreciation for the perspective of the business owner or executive, as well as the challenges they face, not only having worked inside these companies on a broad range of strategic and operational business issues and objectives (in addition to his legal responsibilities as general counsel), but also previously having managed a small business himself as CEO.
